SPR# RCFE5EZJR3 - This fix will display MIME messages correctly in the client when the HTML contains a charset encoding of UTF-16. This regression was introduced in 6.0.

Problem:
This issue can be a result of the body of the memo containing MIME but using
UTF-16 character set. To identify if this is the problem, open the memo and
select View > Show > Page Source. Using Edit/Find, search for "charset=UTF-16".
This issue has been addressed in Notes Client releases 6.0.4 and 6.5.2.

SPR# RCFE5EZJR3 - This fix will display MIME messages correctly in the client
when the HTML contains a charset encoding of UTF-16. This regression was
introduced in 6.0.
There are two workarounds available:
The first workaround is to right-click the body of the memo while it is open
and select Encoding, then select "Western (8859-1 or Windows-1252)"; however,
this will require the user to change the encoding every time he/she opens that
memo to display the memo correctly.
The second workaround involves a little more effort, as described below;
however, this will resolve the issue for all future emails of this type:
1. Open your Personal Address Book. *
*Note: This setting will be cached when used; to remove this MIME charset
alias, you will need to delete and re-create the Cache.ndk. Also, although
this document appears the same as the settings offered in the Server's
Configuration document, it does not appear to work for inbound messages. You
would still need to set this aliasing up in the Personal Address Book for the
Notes 6.x user.
2. Open the Advanced \ International Mime Settings view.
3. Create a new International MIME Settings document.
4. On the Basics tab, leave the default " * " (asterisk) in the "Use These
Settings Only For" field. The asterisk in this field means that the settings
will be applied to all of your Location documents. Or, you can select a
preference.
5. Go to the Advanced tab.
6. In the "Character Set Name Aliases" field type "UTF-16" and "Windows-1252".
7. Select the Save & Close action button.
8. Close the Personal Address Book.
